Competition

First time for me, have about one month until our Chapter Competition, reading the guideline /don't freak out notes and it says that this should be a learning experience. WHOA Nelly is it ever. I have so many questions, I have three possible mouldings and a Rockler Catalog and 4 different PPFA and Kistler books on my bench.

I am SOOOO excited and nervous! Need more COFFEE!!!

Can't WAIT to see what everybody does!!!!! AND I am so very very glad it ain't a rock!!!:thumb::pop2::loco:

I haven't been allowed to compete for years now, but when I did I'd always get done early.

Here in New England we require that the entries be boxed for shipping and arrive at a coordinators shop by the Friday before the judging.
The coordinator loads a vehicle and delivers them to the judging site.
So, you can't be too last minute.

This accomplishing two things; the entrant also gets at least a taste of packing for shipping if they want to go on to national; and we are able to get a handle on how many entries there are so the judges can allocate enough time. We typically have 8 - 12 entries in the PRINT competition. It's nice when you hit that tenth one so you can give an honorable mention as well as the top three places.

Being that I haven't even received my piece yet and only last week being told that our competition was going to be held in conjunction with another chapters meeting, I guess I am going to be a last minute type of entrant this year. Hope my piece arrives soon.

Thanks Cathy, ( Randy Parrish also) mine is on the way from headquarters. The problem was it appears our chapter for whatever reason did not order any, at least whenever I inquired about them. Nick Shaver has it taken care of.
