“The Frame in America, 1700-1900,” by William Adair, is available in the PPFA Online Store at www.ppfa.com. Click on "books" in the drop down catalog menu.

The cost is $29.95 – and PPFA members will get a 15% member discount.

Revised and updated in 2013, Adair’s book provides a fascinating look at the development of frames in the United States from early colonial times until the late Victorian period.

The 70-page book also provides a look at the materials and techniques used in fabricating traditional gilded frames and frame construction.

Adair’s book is just one of many books available in the PPFA Online Store, as well as merchandise, Picture Framing Magazine, and information on PPFA Certification and PPFA Competitions.
