Some of us have changed our avator, which appears next to our post. This means, that all previous posts since the beginning of FC by this member will change with it.
For example Greg used to show his dwelling, Randy sat on a throne, then he was holding his lunch etc.

Can we have a setting, whereby the avator only changes today's avatar and future posts without changing previous posts?

no. that's not the way the software works.

Can someone shed light for me on how and where to upload a photo/avatar?
I can usually find my way around a forum, yet when I click on "Customize my Profile", I seem to missing the where and how for editing the image.
Help please...?
Thanks!

I'll be glad to help with that.

Setting an AVATAR (picture) to appear on all of your posts

If you want an AVATAR to appear on each message:

<---------- that image over there is my avatar

-Click SETTINGS (top right corner of the screen)
-Click EDIT AVATAR

-The screen will present three choices:

  • Option 1: You can put a web link in to an avatar that is stored on another website.
  • Option 2: You can click BROWSE to pick an avatar of the correct size (100x100 or less) from your computer
  • Option 3: You can pick from the library of avatars already stored on the forum (you'll see the images)

-Once you do one of the above, make sure to click the SAVE CHANGES button at the bottom..
