This is for ANYONE planning on attending ANY chapters events......or Vegas, or in the future Atlanta...

So much planning has to be done based on head counts, food, spacing, tables, etc. that all the last minute or walk in registrations really adds to the stress of those organizing an event. Speakers (and show vendors) want to know how many attendees to prepare for....

For example, we have our 4 board members registered and just YESTERDAY (11th) one other person registered for our event. Our deadline is the 19th...and we know we will have at least 40 people there (at least we plan on that many.)

Please stop procrastinating, or being on the fence, commit! This is so discouraging for ANY PLANNERS?ORGANIZERS to have last minute registrations ~ or just walk-ins.

Don't get me wrong, we will take ANYONE - ANYTIME, but please get on board earlier!!!!
ALL organizing volunteers will be appreciative! :thumb:

What event? I have been to 4 this year and will probably top off at 5. If you have an event and I am assuming its in Minnesota? If you need help promoting it I am certainly willing to over over and above to help, just let me know where when and who.

Anyone with an event Please be sure to utilize all the promotion avenues available. PPFA will send out Eblasts (and I suggest send them to all PPFA members), Use the FC to post in Announcements, put it on the FC calendar, ask Sheila to get it on the PPFA News Calendar, share it on the PPFA FB page, ask it be tweeted, instagramed or any other social media PPFA uses (Randy works them all for PPFA), be sure to post on your Chapters FB page if you have one if not get one, and if you have a website post it on there. SHARE SHARE SHARE the information. Get your vendors on board to share on their social media sites and also ask them to pass out flyers on their delivery routes to members and non-members.

And Yes if you are thinking of attending the earlier you register the more help it is to the organizers!!!!

Like all events, we have done as many promotional avenues as we can think of. PPFA, now Facebook - thanks Randy!, emailed vendors, etc.
We. like others, have posted to this site, calendars, The Grumble, various community Art centers....etc.

It is not just our events - I'm sure all events would the last minute registers to "plan ahead" a bit more. Everyone needs to register for the events sooner than later, that's all. (We have a history of attendees, so we can project what is "expected.." )

For all event planners......Wouldn't it nice to just "know" ...?
(and in my world the color of the sky is STILL BLUE too!!
