Amish Pictureframers

well, that is an inquiry that I've never seen before! Being that the Amish are pretty simple in their tastes, I would imagine they use pretty plain woods for frames. A handsaw to cut, a vise with glue and nails and a hammer. glass is cut by hand, a mat can be cut by hand, and any mounting can be done by various means that do not require electricity. fitting can be done with hand tools as well. If they want something more elaborate, they probably use hand planes that can shape a profile on a moulding. Just my quick thoughts on it.....
