Linda Wassell, MCPF, will present two sessions at PPFA 2015, January 25-28, at The Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, concurrent with the West Coast Art & Frame Expo/The National Conference. Special pricing allows PPFA members to take advantage of both events, with convention passes and individual pricing available; nonmembers are welcome to attend PPFA sessions.

In a PPT lecture and demo, “Adding a French Touch – Classic to Contemporary,” Linda will show a modern-day approach to age-old techniques. Learn about non-traditional methods, and how to use technology, including CMCs, to create designs with the finesse of a French mat but with style that works with classic to contemporary art forms. Pricing and selling strategies will be discussed.

Linda will also teach “Gilded Accents,” showing how to create three separate gilded accents used in advanced examples of French matting–gilded bevels, tapes and 23k lines. Samples of their uses and combinations with lines and panels will be shown and framers students will see the basic steps in mordant gilding.

To ensure your spot in Linda’s classes – visit our PPFA 2015 page for details and a link to registration on the WCAF site – look for PPFA 2015 in their agenda.

Other PPFA speakers are Ellen Collins, Jared Davis, David Lantrip, Rob Markoff, Joyce Michels, Jim Miller, Chris Paschke Hugh Phibbs, Linda Pujo, John Ranes, and Suzanne Smeaton.
