Hi. Does anyone have a source for stickers to put on dustcovers with instructions for cleaning & handling acrylic glazing? We have lots of labels from Tru Vue for different types of glass, but I didn't see anything on their website for acrylic. Also, I think I remember hearing about some frame shops giving out small samples of acrylic cleaner & cloth to customers when they pick-up their acrylic framed art. I may have just made that up? Does anyone actually do that, and if so, what is the source of your samples? Are they expensive? Thanks in advance for your help.

The instructions for cleaning acrylic are the same as for cleaning glass, other than using a different cleaner. Sometimes we scratch out "Glass" and write in "Acrylic" on the "Glass Cleaning Tips" sticker #M99-00251.

I'll be at Tru Vue in October for a marketing meeting, and I'll try to remember to suggest making at least one label for acrylic, other than the existing one for Optium.

Frame Specialties in Elkhart, Indiana (aka Kool Tack, aka Tack1 Technologies) sells the glass cleaning kits you remember. The kit includes a small spray bottle of Ultra Lite Glass Cleaner, a small microfiber cloth, instructions, and aplastic gift box, like a transparent 5" cube with a built-in handle. It's a very neat package, always welcomed by customers. We enclose our business card and our own half-sheet instructions, offering to refill the bottle free anytime; "Just bring in your empty bottle and we will refill it for you." The Ultra Lite Glass Cleaner is good for acrylic as well as for glass, according to the maker, and it really works great. We buy the bottle of concentrate and mix with distilled water to make a gallon.

Thanks for the info, Jim. I will look into the cleaning kits. Please keep me posted if Tru Vue decides to offer the acrylic labels going forward. I appreciate your willingness to take this to your meeting with them. Thanks again.
