Former PPFA President Doug Highfield dies at age 78

Doug Highfield, a past president of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA), died May 1 at the age of 78.
Highfield spent over 45 years in the picture framing industry, owning Art Enhancement, Inc., and a plexiglas specialty company, Plex Appeal, Inc.
He was a leader in the industry as a member of PPFA, served as president of this international organization, and was active in the PPFA North Texas Chapter.
He educated framers on the framing and preservation of fine art by teaching classes and chairing educational seminars.
The family requests memorial donations to Cure PSP or to Smile Train.
