hello all - thank you for the add. my father was a professional artists' framer. he had a home shop and did beautiful work. he has recently passed away and i am seeking information and price points for possible sale of his equipment. any information and tips you could lend would be appreciated. he has the following items and all are in good working condition. the c+h and fletcher 11 both appear to be in excellent used condition:

C+H Advantage Pro 38 Straight Line Cutter/Mat Cutter (includes extra blades/accessories - very clean, no damage)
Seal Masterpiece 360 M Dry Mount Heat Press - Excellent working order. Cosmetically there are signs of use. Label is peeling up.
Fletcher 1100 Professional Oval and Circle Cutting System - Excellent condition. Very clean, no damage.

any information you can provide on these items and their possible resale value would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Deborah

Not too many people looking for manual mat cutters and oval/circle cutters these days.
There is a market for them, though. Possibly photographers or schools.
The same for the press. It is an older one but there are people looking for a press at the right price.

You might go to www.skylinepictures.com and check out their used equipment catalog.
You can click on mounting equipment, mat cutting equipment, etc. and see what some are selling for.

You can also contact them and list your equipment for sale with them and they will sell it for you (for a commission).
I have worked with Steve there in the past and he is a good guy and knows the equipment.
Good luck.

Neil is right about this. You might also contact the distributor your father purchased his supplies from. They may be nearby, familiar with the tools and know what the local market might be.
