Our customer wanted to preserve the original art deco periodframe on her grandmother’s vintage wedding photo, so we suggested a framewithin a frame design. The new frame (Larson Juhl’s “Allegra” in antique gold) coordinatesperfectly with the original art deco style, while protecting it and giving it alittle more prominence for wall display. Our customer loves it . . . and so do we!

Looks great!

the problem with that particular moulding is trying to get the corners to look good because of the "flow" of the frame. You certainly accomplished the corners to perfection!

Excellent idea to keep original frame. Also a unique challenge. PPFA OPEN framing competition could use entries like this! Unique challenges and inspiring persentations.

Understanding the need for sharing your work and peer replies, posting your project here (and on other social media) gives you prompt feedback. Unfortunately, posting a cool framing project also disqualifies that project from OPEN framing competition.

Just want put that thought out there.
