Framers of the Northeast – UNITE!

NEPPFA invites you to join us for a get together with other professional picture framers on June 6th for a day of education, competition, a vendor showcase and networking. This all day event will include 3 different interactive and educational discussions and seminars. This event is FREE to anyone (member or not) who registers before May 23rd.
Admission tickets for 10am-3pm events will be $25 per ticket after May 23rd. Tickets available until 6/4/16.


You can order your ticket(s) at www.neppfa.com, and they will be emailed.

Education:
*10:00 am – 11:45 am: “Weird Mounting Solutions”
Seminar and Demonstration; How to mount unusual objects and works on paper.

*11:45 am – 12:45 pm: “The BIG 3 of Social Media”
Lecture and Group Exercise: A practical introduction to the Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. What makes a successful post.

*12:45 pm – 2:00 pm: Lunch break, on your own

*2:00 pm – 3:00 pm: “Boutique vs. Big Box”
Panel Discussion; Real life strategies for competing with the big box picture framers.

Vendor Show:
*3:30 pm – 5:00 pm: Vendor Table Top Showcase
Our generous sponsors will be showing their wares. Come see whats new and what specials they may be offering.
Light snacks will be served during the Vendor Showcase.

Evening Program:
* 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Meeting
OPEN Competition – We will be awarding ribbons for the 2017 OPEN framing competition. Hear from the winners themselves as to how they approach and execute their pieces.
General Business Meeting – We will need a few minutes of your time for a brief business meeting. Learn what is new with the PPFA and your local chapter.
Ideas and Answers – Ask any question you want to the room. Get answers from your fellow experts or perhaps it is you that has an answer for for someone else.

I will be husbanding the mounting discussion. I have plans for the presentation, but if anyone has something specific they'd like me to tackle, I can try to work it in.
Ed Pioli will be leading the discussion about Social Media. It's a major concentration of his and he's built much of his shops promotion around it.
Larry Pearl is responsible for the discussion re: the BB competition. He's been away, so I'm not sure what his thinking is, but there was talk of possibly doing a panel discussion of some kind.

We are hoping for a big turnout (hence the no charge entry fee for the first time in over 20 years!) and we usually look for a lot of group participation. Some of the best tidbits come from group comments.

Correction: The free tickets will be available until Monday May 23rd. Tickets for the 10am-3pm events are $25 from May 24th - June 4th. Ticket sales for the June 6th event end on June 4th, so we can get a count to the venue.
