Interested in an arts career? Upscale Picture Framing Business is looking for a skilled full-time candidate to join our team. Willing to train an interested and talented individual to PPFA standards. There are opportunities for growth within the company. Position is full-time Tuesday-Saturday, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm. Salary commensurate with experience. 401K and paid time off benefits. (This is not a woodworking position.)

Qualifications:
Able to read a ruler with ability to add and subtract simple fractions.
Ability to work with hands in a careful manner.
Superior customer service.
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, to problem solve.
Possess good attention to detail, communication and computer skills.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Reliable transportation to Millerton, New York.
Partial List of Responsibilities:
Develop and learn design skills for custom picture framing including measuring accurately.
Develop and learn proper framing techniques for conservation framing, treatment and proper handling of artwork, photography, shadowboxing.
Ability to work independently, accurately, carefully and timely.
Assist in all aspects of picture framing and framing sales.
Professional and courteous attitude are required (dress code & safety rules apply).

We work with the very latest in picture framing equipment including computerized mat cutting and computer visualization systems. Our clients include private collectors, interior designers, museum professionals, local and international artists.
