Turtle Glass Bowl Plexi Box

This glass bowl was a challenge. We did not want to use any adhesive as it would show through the glass. The glass is pretty thick, so the mounts had to be sturdy enough to support the weight. Decided against a shadowbox to keep it more open and maximize visibility. Customer picked-up yesterday and loved it!

Hi Liz,

Looks really awesome in fully showcasing both the artwork & your workpersonship. The adjustable 'Clip' mounting system you used would you care to elaborate their name. Looks like a very useful resource.

Thanks, Keith. We fabricated those mounting clips using brass metal strips from a local hardware store and used white heat shrink tubing to cover the part that shows on the front side. Figuring out the mounting was the only challenging part of this design...everything else was pretty straightforward. Thanks again. Liz
